Sofia Garcia

Sofia Garcia, LCSW, has extensive experience in crisis counseling and social work, currently serving as a Crisis Counselor at RGX Medical since May 2022 and as a Clinical Social Worker III at UCLA Stuart House since July 2017, where responsibility includes providing therapy to minors affected by sexual assault. In addition, Sofia has worked as an On-call Crisis Counselor at the UCLA Rape Treatment Center since December 2016, offering support to victims during medical exams and interacting with law enforcement. Previous roles include youth advocacy at First Place for Youth and social work internships at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services. Sofia holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University.
