Bertha Pérez-Sánchez, MPA, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Bertha is currently working at Richard Heath and Associates, Inc. (RHA) as a Regional Program Manager and also serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Previously at RHA, they held the position of Senior Coordinator and Outreach Coordinator. Additionally, Bertha founded Alianza Del Valle, where they act as a Founder. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant, Interpreter, and Translator as an independent professional. Bertha was the Program Director at Westside Family Preservation Services Network - Coalinga Neighborhood Resource Center. Bertha also gained experience as an Outreach Coordinator at RHA and a Case Manager at Youth Centers of America. Bertha worked as a Social Worker/Victim Advocate at Centro La Familia Advocacy Services, Inc. and as an Eligibility Worker at Fresno County Department of Social Services. At Centro La Familia Advocacy Services, Inc., they served as an Outreach Worker Coordinator/Advocate. Bertha began their career as a Case Manager at Marjaree Mason Center.

Bertha Pérez-Sánchez, MPA (She/Her/Ella) has a strong educational background in public administration and criminology. Bertha obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Public Administration from California State University, Fresno from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Criminology - Victimology from the same institution between 2003 and 2006. Bertha began their academic journey at Fresno City College, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Criminology from 1998 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Bertha has obtained various certifications related to their profession. Bertha completed the Professional Edge program offered by the CEA - California Employers Association in June 2016. In February 2016, they completed the Simple Steps training program at the Central Valley SCORE Training Center. Furthermore, Bertha obtained the CalEMA 40-Hour Paraprofessional Crisis Counselor for Survivors of Sexual Assault Certification in December 2009 from the Rape Counseling Services of Fresno. In February 2006, they earned the 40-Hour Domestic Violence Counselor certification from the Marjaree Mason Center. Bertha also holds a Victim Services Certificate from Fresno State obtained in January 2006. Additionally, they are certified in CPR/AED by the American Red Cross since November 2019. Their most recent certification is the Mental Health First Aid USA, which they acquired from the National Council for Behavioral Health in June 2014.
