Brandon Blizman

Engineer at RHA

Brandon Blizman has over 15 years of engineering experience. From 2004 to 2016, they worked at MAKEL ENGINEERING, INC. as an Engineer. In this role, they were involved in advanced engine development projects, particularly in the development and demonstration of Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) systems. Brandon also contributed to the California Energy Commission's Integrated Energy Policy Report and worked on programs for the development and demonstration of chemical sensors. Brandon has expertise in design and fabrication using SolidWorks CAD design.

Since 2016, Brandon has been working at Richard Heath and Associates, Inc. (RHA) as an Engineer. In this role, they support RHA's Technical Services team in the design, development, and implementation of energy efficiency technologies, programs, and projects. Brandon serves as a project engineer on residential energy efficiency and weatherization projects and has been involved in innovative pilot programs targeted at low-income and hard-to-reach utility customers. Additionally, they have co-authored technical publications and facilitated research projects for government agencies and investor-owned utilities.

Brandon Blizman attended California State University, Chico from 2001 to 2004 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they also acquired certifications in Home Improvement Salesperson from the California Contractors State Licensing Board in May 2016, as well as certifications in Building Analyst Professional and Energy Auditor from the Building Performance Institute, Inc. in May 2016 and March 2020, respectively.
