Matteo Merialdo

Matteo Merialdo has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and software engineering. Matteo began their career in 2003 as a Software Developer at IFM Infomaster and later transitioned into the role of Software Engineer/Architect in 2006, remaining with the company until 2014. During their time at IFM Infomaster, Matteo gained valuable technical expertise and experience.

In 2014, Matteo joined RHEA Group, where they have held various positions and taken on increasing levels of responsibility. Matteo started as a Senior Software Architect in the Cyber Security Services division, leading the system architecture for the PANOPTESEC Project within the FP7 program. In 2015, they became a Project Manager, spearheading projects with budgets ranging from 400K to 16 million Euros. Matteo continued to excel in their role and was promoted to the position of Manager, Cyber Security Services in 2019. In this position, they led a team of 20+ employees and oversaw a range of cybersecurity research and development projects, including those with prominent clients like ESA, NATO, and the European Commission.

In addition to their work at RHEA Group, Matteo has also contributed their expertise to the European Commission as an Expert in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security since 2019.
