Kane Smart

Kane Smart is an experienced engineer currently serving as a Principal Systems Engineer at Rheinmetall since October 2022. Previously, Kane held the position of Chief Engineer at the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group from October 2021 to October 2022. Before that, Kane worked for the Department of Defence of Australia as Systems Engineering Manager PMV-L from November 2014 to October 2021, where responsibilities included providing expert advice on design, risk management, and system safety for the Protected Mobility Vehicle - Light program. Additional experience includes roles as Systems Engineer at Defence Materiel Organisation and Senior Project Engineer at General Motors. Kane holds a Master's degree in Maintenance and Reliability Engineering from Federation University Australia and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from RMIT University.
