Thomas Prietl

Thomas Prietl is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the refractory industry, currently serving as the Head of Global R&D and Innovation at RHI Magnesita since September 2014. Prior roles at RHI Magnesita include Head of R&D for Europe, CIS & Turkey, Plant General Manager, and Head of Production for Refractory Raw Materials and Bricks. Before this, Thomas Prietl held various positions at RHI AG from 2007 to 2014, including Director of Technical Marketing & Furnace Integrity and Head of Product Management. Thomas Prietl began a career in research as a Research Associate at the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Secondary Metallurgy of Nonferrous Metals from 2003 to 2006. Thomas Prietl holds a PhD in Process Engineering and Non Ferrous Metallurgy from the University of Leoben.
