Stephen Lanier

Stephen Lanier is an experienced professional in sports operations and event management. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Operations at Rhino Sports & Entertainment Services since July 2018, Stephen manages the recruitment, training, and oversight of over 300 part-time employees for athletic and special events at Virginia Tech. Previously, Stephen held the position of Assistant Director of Events at the University of South Florida, overseeing women's sports and track & field while assisting with football event management. Additional experience includes working as a statistician for the Lakeland Magic in the NBA G League and various roles in event management during internships at the University of South Florida and Saint Leo University. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Business from Saint Leo University and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Hillsborough Community College.
