John Saporita

John Saporita is an experienced military leader currently serving as the Recruiting and Retention Battalion Commander for the Rhode Island Army National Guard since June 2018. In this role, John oversees enlisted and officer recruiting, force retention, and marketing initiatives. Prior to this position, John held several key leadership roles, including Construction Branch Chief and Planning and Programming Branch Chief, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of military construction projects and facilities management. John's past experience also includes serving as Brigade Logistics Officer and Aide de Camp within the Rhode Island Army National Guard and studying Chinese Strategic Thought at Marine Corps University. John holds a Master of Military Studies, an MBA in International Business and Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
