Olivia Despirito

Olivia Basilone has a diverse background in healthcare and emergency services, currently serving in the Rhode Island Army National Guard as a Patient Administrator Specialist since February 2021. In this role, Olivia initiates and manages correspondence related to medical records and patient administration, while also maintaining a medical record-tracking system. Previously, as a Healthcare Specialist, Olivia provided emergency medical treatment on the battlefield. Experience includes working as an Emergency Dispatcher at the Northwest Connecticut Public Safety Communication Center, where responsibilities included dispatching emergency vehicles and advising callers during crises, and serving as an Emergency Medical Technician for the Derby Fire Department, delivering critical medical care and transport to patients in need. Olivia holds a Master's Degree in Forensic Science and Technology from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Chemistry from Norwich University.

Rhode Island Army National Guard

The Rhode Island Army National Guard is the nation's oldest military branch which consists of more that 2,200 members serving both state and federal governments. The Rhode Island Army National Guard has served and remains as an active force in the Global War on Terrorism, with units that have deployed worldwide in direct support of national security objectives. In times of local emergencies and natural disasters, the Rhode Island Guard is called upon to provide military support to civil authorities. Despite being the smallest state, Rhode Island is the only state with a Special Forces Unit, a Special Operations Detachment unit, and an Airborne Infantry.
