William Sloyer has extensive experience in both volunteer and professional roles within public service and criminal justice. Currently serving as a volunteer driver for the Rhode Island Blood Center since October 2021, William has also dedicated time as a volunteer mentor for the RI Veteran's Treatment Court since November 2014 and as a volunteer Ombudsman Director for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) since March 2014. William's career includes a tenure as Manager of Special Investigations at Amica Mutual Insurance Company from January 2004 to November 2014, alongside a role as Adjunct Faculty in Criminal Justice at Bristol Community College from September 1999 to May 2011. William began a career in law enforcement as a Captain at the East Providence, RI Police Department from May 1973 to November 1994. William's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University, complemented by an Associate’s degree in Administration of Justice from Bryant University.
