Zachary Nieder currently serves as a Strategic Initiative Officer at the Rhode Island Foundation since November 2019. Previously, Zachary held the position of Associate Director at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City from June 2017 to October 2019 and worked as a Senior Associate at The American City Coalition (TACC) from June 2014 to June 2017. Earlier experience includes a Practicum Placement at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council in early 2014 and a Student/Client Project Coordinator role at the MIT DUSP/Somerville Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development from September 2013 to January 2014. Zachary started professional experience as an intern at Futures Group International in the summer of 2013 and served as a Research Associate at the Harvard Global Health Institute from July 2011 to May 2013, along with working as a Research Assistant at the Harvard Center for Health Decision Science between September 2009 and September 2012. Educational qualifications include a degree from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health attained from 2012 to 2014 and a Bachelor of Arts in Modern History from the University of St Andrews, completed in 2008.
