Marisa Mazria Katz

Marisa Mazria Katz is a prominent figure in the intersection of journalism and the arts, currently serving as Executive Director of the Center for Artistic Inquiry and Reporting, an initiative focused on enhancing public interest stories through collaboration between journalists and artists. Marisa also teaches 'Artists Report: Making the News' at the Rhode Island School of Design, equipping artists with investigative tools and journalism language. With extensive experience as a journalist, Marisa has contributed to major publications including The New York Times, NPR, and The Economist, reporting from various countries across multiple continents. Previous roles include Senior Advisor at the Eyebeam Center for the Future of Journalism and Director of Media Initiatives at Creative Time, where Marisa developed new media strategies and partnerships. Marisa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University.
