Shevolta Henson has accumulated extensive experience in various administrative and medical roles since 1998. Currently serving as an Administrative Secretary and Clerical Assistant at The Rhodes School since August 2018, Henson previously held the position of Medical Assistant at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic from September 2010, where responsibilities included patient care, laboratory testing, and assisting with minor surgeries. Prior experience as a Customer Service Representative at Convergys from September 2005 to August 2007 involved resolving customer issues and promoting services, while earlier work as a Correctional Officer at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice included maintaining safety and security within the facility. Henson holds an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from Liberty University.

Rhodes School for the Performing Arts is a fine art, magnet charter school that prepares students for lifelong success by providing a classical, arts-based instructional program that is rigorous, relevant, and consistently meets or exceeds state and national standards. RSPA is a Title I school. 80% of TRS students are low-income, 96% are a minority, and more than 35% are at-risk for academic failure. The overwhelming majority of RSPA families reside within the communities of Harris County and the Greater Houston area, all of which are targeted areas in need of special assistance to address systemic blight, poverty, juvenile delinquency, and illiteracy. Despite these odds, 2014 has been a monumental year for RSPA. Not only are we the FIRST charter school in the country to receive designation as a Magnet School by the U.S. Department of Education but as of 2014, RSPA was awarded 4 out of 6 possible distinctions making us a 4 Star School of Distinction. We also rank first in our Campus Comparison Group for student progress! RSPA is committed to producing critical thinkers with the character to lead.
