Josh Rose

Josh Rose has over 20 years of work experience in software engineering and development. Josh began their career in 1998 as a Web Developer at ASAP Media Services, where they led project design teams to brainstorm, design, and develop database-driven sites and content for the web. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as a Web Applications Developer and Web Master for the SIE Department, where they redesigned the department's website, developed a first generation site for the Gulf of Maine Ocean Observing System, and developed a faculty management site. From 2001 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at PixelMEDIA, where they were the lead developer on many client projects focusing on ecommerce for the .NET platform. From 2008 to 2015, they worked as a Principal Application Developer and Technical Architect at Mad*Pow, where they were the Technical Lead on ImagineCare and co-lead on the web UI phase of the project. From 2013 to 2020, they worked as a Technology Director + Software Architect and UI Architect + Software Developer at genius switch studio, where they successfully lead and launched the Intuit Private Cloud and St. From 2011 to 2020, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Liberty Mutual Insurance, where they worked with a multi-national team to guide and update the first-version Dojo-based client framework. From 2020 to present, they have worked at Rhumbix as a Senior Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager, Software Engineering Technical Lead, and Senior Software Engineer. Josh also owns Lost to the World LLC and is a Technical Lead at The Flying Company LLC.

Josh Rose completed their Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Maine in 2001. Prior to that, they attended the University of Vermont from 1997 to 1998. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in July 2018.
