Darren McDonald has extensive work experience in the financial industry, specifically in corporate actions and proxy management. Darren most recently worked as a Business Project Manager at RhumbLine Advisers, starting in November 2017. Prior to that, Darren worked at State Street Global Advisors as a Corporate Actions & Proxy Manager from March 2015 to February 2017. In this role, they improved operational efficiencies and workflows, trained portfolio managers on a new corporate actions election platform, and facilitated coordination between operations and investment management teams.
Before joining State Street, Darren worked at GMO for several years in different roles. From April 2001 to July 2002, they worked as a UK Corporate Actions Investigations Specialist, resolving client inquiries and serving as the primary contact for resolving UK corporate actions and income inquiries from institutional clients. Prior to that, from March 2000 to April 2001, they served as an International Corporate Actions Specialist, responsible for liaising with brokers and custodians to ensure accurate execution of corporate action instructions.
Additionally, Darren briefly worked at State Street as a Corporate Actions Conversion Specialist from January 2003 to March 2004, where they coordinated and monitored the integration of client assets and developed operating models to accurately assign corporate action processing responsibilities to custodian banks.
Darren McDonald completed their Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA with a focus on Finance, General from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Darren attended the university from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, in 1995 and 1996, they studied International Business at the University of Stirling. However, no degree was specified for their coursework at the University of Stirling.
