The Role

As a Staff Shuttle bus driver, your primary responsibility is to safely and punctually transport staff members to and from their accommodation and workplace on a daily basis. This includes adhering to a planned bus route and making scheduled stops to pick up and drop off staff.

Job Duties 

  • Ensure the shuttle bus is in optimal condition: Ensure safety and operational readiness.

  • Identify and address any issues promptly.

  • Assist the property and maintenance team: Adapt to specific role requirements and organizational needs.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to take on extra responsibilities.

  • Regularly fuel the vehicle.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the bus.

  • Ensure it is free from snow, ice, and damage.

  • Keep the bus presentable for a positive staff experience.

  • Perform daily checks on buses and vehicles:

  • Support with general maintenance duties.

  • Help other staff members as required.

  • Be open to additional duties as assigned

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

  • Experience driving 24-29 seat buses with a good and proven track record.

  • International Driving Permit with category D stamp (higher than a standard driving licence required ( Australia: MR, NZ: class 2 or above). Check your local International Driving Permit issuing body, usually Post Offices, for more details)  or a Japanese driving license with ogata or higher endorsement

  • Experience driving on snow and ice is highly important.

  • Eligibility for a Working Holiday Visa or other Visa with Japanese working rights.
