Annette Valles-Sukkar has over 20 years of experience in clinical operations and research. Annette is currently working as the Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Rhythm Pharmaceuticals Inc., where their role focuses on studying the melanocortin-4 receptor pathway in the brain to understand genetic disorders of obesity. Prior to Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, Annette held positions at TiGenix, Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc., Pleiad Inc, Confluent Surgical, PPD, and Abbott Diabetes Care, where they gained comprehensive experience in clinical project management and research. Annette has directed cross-functional teams, managed clinical operations, and led global clinical projects throughout their career.
Annette Valles-Sukkar holds a Master's degree in Health Policy and Research from Northeastern University. Annette also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from the same institution. Prior to their studies at Northeastern University, they were a Biology/PreMed candidate at Universidad de Puerto Rico. Annette has obtained various certifications, including Think Like a Lawyer to Make Decisions and Solve Problems, Nano Tips for Mental Agility and Resilience with Gemma Leigh Roberts, and Stories Every Leader Should Tell from LinkedIn. Annette is also a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) through the ACRP - Association of Clinical Research Professionals and a Medical Technologist (MT) certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
