Samira Bahl

Samira Bahl has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Samira currently works as the Director of Genetic Operations at Rhythm Pharmaceuticals Inc., a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they were the Associate Director of Genetics at the same company from April 2019 to February 2023.

Before joining Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, Samira was a Senior Project Manager at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from September 2013 to March 2019. Samira also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital from April 2008 to July 2013.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Research Associate and a PhD Scholar at the Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology from August 2006 to October 2007 and October 2001 to April 2007, respectively. Samira also worked as a Guest Lecturer at Edutech Informatics India Ltd. from September 2002 to August 2003.

Samira's early career includes roles as a Research Investigator at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) from June 2001 to August 2001 and the University of Delhi from August 2000 to February 2001.

Samira Bahl pursued their education at the University of Delhi, where they earned a Ph.D in Human Genetics from 2001 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from 1999 to 2001 and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from 1996 to 1999 at Delhi University. In addition to their academic qualifications, Samira has also obtained certifications in "Unconscious Bias" and "Pitching Your Ideas Strategically" from LinkedIn in 2022.
