Carl Pigeon

Carl Pigeon's work experience includes being the Co-Founder & CEO at Ribbit, where they focus on improving transportation through the development of a pilotless airline platform. Prior to that, they worked as a Ground Handler at Air Canada and as a UAV Project Manager/Systems Engineer at The Sky Guys. Carl also served as a Visiting Researcher in the Red Sea Research Center at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, where they designed and coordinated the manufacturing of a deep-sea robotic manipulator. Carl has experience as a Thermal Engineer at UTIAS Space Flight Laboratory, Rocketry Team Chief Designer and Co-Lead at the University of Toronto Aerospace Team, and as a Flight Data Analyst at the National Research Council Canada. Carl has also worked as a Summer Research Intern in Particle Physics at TRIUMF and as a Mechanical Engineering Student at GasTOPS.

Carl Pigeon has a strong educational background in the field of Aerospace Sciences and Engineering. Carl obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Co-op degree from Carleton University, specializing in Aerospace. Carl then pursued further studies and completed a Master's of Science in Aerospace Sciences & Engineering from the University of Toronto. During their Master's degree, their focus was on Micro Satellite Systems at the Space Flight Laboratory.

In addition to their formal education, Carl has acquired several certifications that highlight their expertise and interests. Carl holds a Drone Pilot Certificate - Advanced Operations from Transport Canada - Transports Canada, obtained in February 2022. Carl is also a certified Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) by PADI, achieving this certification in December 2016. Furthermore, Carl has completed the Advanced and Open Water Scuba certifications from NAUI Worldwide in August and July 2016, respectively. In terms of piloting, they possess a Private Pilot License (PPL) and a Glider Pilot License, both obtained from Transport Canada - Transports Canada in 2008 and 2007, respectively.
