Joni Roberts

Joni Roberts has a strong work experience in the telecommunications industry. Joni is currently working as the Chief Marketing Officer at Ribbon Communications since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at RAD as the VP Sales and Business Development North America from 2020 to June 2023. Before RAD, Joni held the position of Senior Client Executive at Fujitsu Network Communications from 2017 to 2020. Joni also served as Senior Director, Global Sales at ADVA Optical Networking from 2014 to 2017. Earlier in their career, Joni worked at Coriant, Inc. as Senior Director, North America from 2009 to 2013. Joni has also worked at Dell Technologies as Regional Vice President from 2005 to 2008 and at ICG/Level 3 Communications as Regional Sales Manager from 2003 to 2005. Joni started their career at Nortel Networks as the Optical Manager for North America and the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2002.

Joni Roberts earned a High School Diploma from the International Baccalaureate, with a field of study in General Studies. After completing high school, Joni attended San Diego State University/Cal State Long Beach from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Political Science. Moving on to higher education, Joni pursued a Master's degree in Telecom with an emphasis on Electrical Engineering at the University of Denver from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their Master's degree, Joni also obtained a Certificate in Computer Science from the University of Denver from 1999 to 2002. Before their Master's program, Joni attended Nortel Networks University from 1998 to 1999, where they earned an A.B.E. Certificate in Manufacturing Engineering Technology/Technician.
