Padma Prasad

Padma Prasad, PMP has over 20 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Padma began their career as an R&D Engineer at ITI Limited, where they worked on IP-PBX application development and Java-based softphone development. Padma then joined Wipro Technologies as a Project Engineer before moving on to Alcatel (now Nokia), where they served as a Module/Technical Lead, specializing in the development and testing of Class 5 features for NGN solutions.

In 2006, Padma joined Sonus Networks India Pvt Ltd, initially as a Technical Lead, where they worked on VOIP technology development, including fixed-mobile convergence applications and class 5 feature development. Padma also played a key role in setting up the test bed and providing technical support. Padma was later promoted to Manager, Software Engineering, where they managed a team of skilled VOIP Engineers and led project management efforts for major/minor releases. Finally, as the Senior Manager for Software Engineering, they managed the Webrtc Project, focusing on stakeholder management, release planning, and architecture.

Since 2016, Padma has been working at Ribbon Communications, initially as an Associate Director, where they managed the security analytics product engineering team and oversaw various aspects such as stakeholder management, release planning, architecture, and team management. Padma also played a crucial role in managing sustaining releases and ensuring on-time quality releases. In January 2019, they were promoted to Director, further expanding their responsibilities within the company.

Throughout their career, Padma has demonstrated expertise in project management, team leadership, stakeholder management, release planning, and architecture. Padma is known for their strong technical skills and their ability to successfully deliver projects on time and with high quality.

Padma Prasad, PMP has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics & Communication from Mangalore University, which was obtained from 1996 to 2000. Padma furthered their education by pursuing an MBA from Indira Gandhi National University, specializing in Operations and IT, from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Operations & IT from Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Mukta Vishwavidyalaya from 2002 to 2003.
