Nathaniel Ascher

Nathaniel Ascher is an experienced baseball analytics professional currently serving as the Baseball Lieutenant for the Rice Sports Analytics Team at Rice Athletics, where notable achievements include winning 2nd place in the Diamond Dollars Case Competition at the 2024 SABR Analytics Conference. As the Baseball Analytics Coordinator for the Lake Erie Crushers, Nathaniel successfully led the establishment of a new analytics department and implemented advanced statistical tracking systems, contributing to the team's significant improvement in performance from 37-59 in 2023 to 51-44 in 2024. Additional experience includes roles as Chief Justice for Martel College, a Talent Escort for the NFL, and a counselor at Camp Cobbossee, alongside a strong academic background in mathematics from Rice University.
