Chief Scientist, Computer Vision at Rice Lake Weighing Systems

Eric Metois is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in the technology and research fields. Their most recent role was as the Chief Scientist of Computer Vision at Rice Lake Weighing Systems. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Scientist at QubeVu for nearly a decade. Eric also worked as a Technology Consultant and Independent Contractor at Metois.com, where they developed various mobile apps and software tools. Before that, they held the position of Director of Strategic Research at Escher Group Ltd. and Research Staff Engineer at Verance Corporation. Eric's early career includes roles as a Research Assistant at MIT Media Lab and a Junior Research Specialist at the Center for New Music and Audio Technology (CNMAT) at U.C. Berkeley.

Eric Metois completed their education chronologically, starting with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Télecom Paris. This program lasted from 1988 to 1991. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Media Arts and Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which took place from 1992 to 1996.
