Riceland
Abrar Kondkar currently serves as a Plant Engineer at Riceland Foods, Inc., a position held since June 2022. Previously, Abrar worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo from May 2019 to June 2022, focusing on the dissolution-precipitation technique for recycling polyolefins. Other experience includes a role as Project Engineer at Litmus Organics Pvt. Ltd., where development involved process flow diagrams and a vacuum batch distillation system, as well as an in-plant trainee position at Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited, improving nitric oxide absorption processes. Early training occurred at Deepak Fertilisers And Petrochemicals Corp. Ltd., providing an understanding of nitric acid production and associated safety measures. Abrar holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and is pursuing a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of the Cumberlands, with a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a Diploma from the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education.

Generations ago a group of Arkansas rice farmers banded together to market their crops. They created a farmers cooperative business group in 1921 now known as Riceland Foods, Inc., headquartered at Stuttgart, Arkansas. Since then, Riceland has grown to become the world's largest rice miller and rice marketer.
