Amitabh Mohanty

Amitabh Mohanty, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and agricultural research. Amitabh is currently working as the Global Head of R&D at RiceTec, Inc. Prior to this, Amitabh held several leadership roles at Corteva Agriscience, including Program Leader for Ag Productivity and Insect Control Traits, Leader of Global Biotech Operations, and Trait Discovery Operations Leader. Amitabh also served as the Program Director at the National Genomics and Genotyping Facility (NGGF)-DBT. Before that, Amitabh worked at DuPont Pioneer, where they held positions such as Leader of Trait Discovery and Site Leader of Ag Biotech. Amitabh has also conducted research at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Department of Plant Molecular Biology. Amitabh's research expertise includes trait discovery, genomics, and genetic research in various crops.

Amitabh Mohanty, Ph.D. holds a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Delhi South Campus. Amitabh also obtained a certification in Leading Innovative Change from U C Berkeley Center for Executive Education in 2016.
