Andrew Basa

Andrew Basa is an experienced educator and musician with a diverse background in science instruction and forensic science. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher at Rich Township High School District 227 since 2022, Andrew has also held positions as a Forensic Scientist and Science Teacher across various institutions, including Rich South High School and Chicago Public Schools. With a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and physics, Andrew has actively engaged students through clubs such as the Robotics Club and Violin Club. Additionally, Andrew has worked as a freelance musician and scientist since October 2020 while pursuing opportunities in sciences or science education. Andrew's educational qualifications include a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a certificate in Science Education from Chicago State University, and a clinical research associate certificate from Kreiger International Research Center.
