January Costa, MA, RPA, currently serves as a Laboratory Specialist/Archaeologist at Richard Grubb and Associates, Inc. since July 2023, and has been the Director & Curator at Kings Mountain Historical Museum since June 2019. With extensive experience as an Archaeological Consultant since May 2007, January Costa has completed archaeological field surveys and data analysis for multiple institutions. Previous roles include Curator of Archaeology and Collections at Lincoln County Historical Association, Collections Technician/Archaeological Lab Director at Schiele Museum of Natural History, and Archaeologist/Cultural Resource Specialist at various organizations. January Costa holds a Master of Arts in Archaeology & Heritage Management from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Archaeology from Appalachian State University.
