Marguerite Mangin

Marguerite Mangin advises the Richard Lounsbery Foundation on both scientific projects and French-American efforts. Marguerite’s lifelong passion for scientific research and education began in Paris, France, where she received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology. She started her research career at CRNS before moving to the US with her family and spending 10 years at Yale University where she purified a new peptide hormone implicated in bone cancer. In 1994 she became Dean of Admissions at Rockefeller University and then served as Director of Academic Programs in the office of the president until 2016.

In addition to her advisory role at the Richard Lounsbery Foundation, Marguerite is the Secretary and Project Coordinator for the Leonardo da Vinci DNA Project, overseeing an international group of scientists, anthropologists, and art historians.

For the last 25 years, Dr. Mangin has volunteered at international and Franco-American non-profits. In 2010, she has conferred the medal of Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur for her philanthropic and professional activities.
