Richmond Art Center
Mary Jeys is an accomplished artist and educator with extensive experience in interdisciplinary arts, residing in the Bay Area. Currently a student at MFA Interdisciplinary Arts, Sierra Nevada College, since January 2020, Mary also serves as Creator and Co-Curator for the Regeneration Residency and as a Teaching Artist at the Richmond Art Center. Prior roles include Founder of the Brooklyn Torch Project, which aims to introduce innovative forms of community value, and Co-Founder of Dobbin Project Space, dedicated to socially-engaged art. Mary has a background in web design, project management, and outdoor activity marketing, supported by a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Texas at Austin.
Richmond Art Center
The Richmond Art Center is the largest visual arts center in the East Bay, dedicated to bringing art to young and old alike who reflect the diverse richness of our community. We're is a visual arts showcase and hands-on learning center that gives wide-ranging audiences the opportunity to create, see and learn about art. Every year, we serve more than 1,800 students through classes and programs taught by professional artists, both onsite at the Center and offsite at local schools, studios and community centers. Our four galleries allow us to mount rotating exhibitions that display the works of emerging and established Bay Area artists. Artists such as Richard Diebenkorn, Jasper Johns, Jay DeFeo, Wanxin Zhang, Hung Liu, Ed Rossbach and Peter Voulkos have been showcased here.
