Richmond Art Center
Olivia Chen is a highly experienced small business owner and teaching artist, currently operating L I V & C H I U art studio since April 2017 while also contributing to the Museum of Children's Arts and Richmond Art Center since March 2016 and July 2015, respectively. With a robust background in art education and curation, Olivia has served as an art instructor for various organizations, including Art with Elders and Starting Arts, and held the role of guest curator at Warehouse 416. Olivia's artistic credentials include participation as a juror in national exhibitions such as "MAYHEM" at ARC Gallery & Studios and the "Figures & Faces" competition at Pacific Art League. Educationally, Olivia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Art University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Ryerson University.
Richmond Art Center
The Richmond Art Center is the largest visual arts center in the East Bay, dedicated to bringing art to young and old alike who reflect the diverse richness of our community. We're is a visual arts showcase and hands-on learning center that gives wide-ranging audiences the opportunity to create, see and learn about art. Every year, we serve more than 1,800 students through classes and programs taught by professional artists, both onsite at the Center and offsite at local schools, studios and community centers. Our four galleries allow us to mount rotating exhibitions that display the works of emerging and established Bay Area artists. Artists such as Richard Diebenkorn, Jasper Johns, Jay DeFeo, Wanxin Zhang, Hung Liu, Ed Rossbach and Peter Voulkos have been showcased here.
