Mike Whittingham

District Administrator Learning Technologies & Myed BC at Richmond School District No. 38

Mike Whittingham is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Project Director at the Japanese Canadian Legacies Society, where responsibilities include overseeing the design and implementation of a digital learning hub focused on Japanese Canadian history. As a District Administrator for Learning Technologies and MyED BC and former Vice Principal within the Richmond School District No. 38, Mike has provided extensive administrative and educational leadership. Additionally, Mike holds the position of Cluster Chair for Teacher Resources in the SSHRC funded Past Wrongs, Future Choices project at the University of Victoria. Expertise also extends to tennis instruction as the Director of Instructional Programs at the Richmond Tennis Club. Previous roles include co-authoring educational resources for various projects at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre and The Critical Thinking Consortium, as well as contributing to community engagement materials for the Justice Education Society of BC. Mike possesses advanced degrees from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University.
