Abdul Mohib Cmirm

Abdul Mohib has extensive experience in risk and internal audit roles. In their current position as Global Director of Risk and Internal Audit at RICS, they provide thought leadership and shapes the future of risk management. Abdul also leads the risk and internal audit division, developing strategies and recommendations for internal control enhancements.

Prior to their current role, Abdul served as a Non Executive Director at St Mungo's and as a member of the ESG SIG Committee at the Institute of Risk Management. Abdul also held key positions at Peabody, where they were responsible for enterprise risk management and internal audit services.

Abdul has a background in risk management in the public sector as well. Abdul served as the Head of Enterprise Risk and Incidents Management at Public Health England, where they developed and embedded the Enterprise Risk Management framework. Abdul also worked at Network Rail, Ofqual, Food Standards Agency, and the UK Home Office in various risk management roles.

Abdul's educational background includes a doctorate in science, and they have published scientific research papers during their time as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Rothamsted Research.

Abdul Mohib (Dr) CMIRM completed their education at Cranfield University from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physical Chemistry. In addition to their doctoral degree, Abdul Mohib has also earned several certifications, including Certified Member (CM) and Certified Risk Professional (CRP) from the Institute of Risk Management in 2022. Abdul also holds certifications in Advanced Anti-Money Certification from Propertymark in 2021, Certified Mentor from Mentorloop in 2021, Risk Champions Training from the Institute of Risk Management in 2020, Management of Risk (MoR) Practitioner from APMG International in 2016, Chartered Chemist from the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2010, Association of Project Management Introductory Certificate (APMIC) from APMG International in 2009, and Practitioner Certificate in Information Risk Management from BCS.
