Melissa Abed is a Product Engineer in Research & Development at Riddell, responsible for developing a customized data visualization tool for NFL helmet evaluations. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on the mechanical properties of porous composites, and as a Graduate Student Instructor, where responsibilities included creating course materials and managing student needs for various engineering courses. Additionally, Melissa has internship experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Holo, Inc., and has worked at Enpowered Solutions as an Energy Engineer and Associate Energy Engineer, implementing energy efficiency measures and conducting performance tests. Melissa holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Francisco State University, along with an Associate degree in Mathematics from Foothill College.
