Software Engineer at Ride Report

Li Poltorak has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Carpenter for Extraordinary Spaces Construction, where they were responsible for research, hiring, and management of subcontractors, as well as project and team leadership. In 2008, they worked as a Trail Crew Member for Northwest Youth Corps, where they maintained hiking trails and campsites, built and maintained bridges and drainage systems, and participated in conservation efforts for wetland areas and habitats for endangered species. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Mezr, Inc. as a Minion, where they were responsible for prototyping electronics, materials sourcing and ordering, and subcontractor research. In 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern for OpenSesame, and as a Teaching Assistant for PDX Code Guild's two week long intro to programming course. Finally, from 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer and SDET at Vacasa, where they maintained and developed new features for the payment API, implemented automatic nightly reconciliation of payment processor reports, and worked on the technical design of a new application for revenue processing.

Li Poltorak has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Theory and Composition from Portland State University - School of Music, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. Li then went on to obtain a Data Scientist With Python Certificate from Datacamp between 2017 and 2018, and a Full Stack Certificate from PDX Code Guild in the same time frame.
