Ted (TsungWei) Wang

Ted (TsungWei) Wang has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Ted (TsungWei) currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Beam Mobility since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Agoda as a Senior Development Manager from July 2020 to April 2022 and as a Development Manager from September 2019 to July 2020.

Before their time at Agoda, Ted was the Engineering Manager at Thunder Token from August 2018 to September 2019. In this role, they successfully recruited and built three engineering teams, implemented key manager systems using AWS services, and designed and implemented the staking pool service.

From June 2015 to August 2018, they held multiple roles at Vynca, including Software Engineer, Technical Program Manager, and Engineering Manager. During this time, they recruited and built a team, proposed and led the development of a patient matching platform, and achieved high performance results.

At Synology, Ted worked as a Product Developer from June 2013 to May 2015. Here, they tuned IRQ handler and network driver settings to reduce response time, implemented UDP/ICMP hole punching mechanism, and proposed and implemented a high availability NAT cluster.

Ted started their career at Netbase as a Software Engineer (Machine Learning Specialist) for a brief period in 2013. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Researcher at ITRI from December 2009 to October 2012. During this time, they built a semantic search engine, proposed a 2-step SVM based approach for sentiment analysis, and designed a semantic restaurant ranking algorithm.

Ted (TsungWei) Wang holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering and Computer Science, which they obtained from National Chiao Tung University between 2003 and 2007. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from the same institution, completing it from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Ted has obtained certifications in "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera in October 2017.
