G. Luca Oake has a wealth of experience in the field of organizational and talent development. In 2020, they began working as a Strategic Advisor & Professional Development Coach for Empowered Engineers. In 2019, they worked as a Senior Director of Organizational & Talent Development for Ridecell, where they were responsible for leading key organizational initiatives, succession and contingency planning, guiding executive operations, and coaching leaders. Prior to that, they were a Strategic Advisor for Vermeulen Group, a People Development Lead for Uber, a Co-Producer & Co-Host for WITtalks, a Strategic Advisor for Comprendio, a Guest Lecturer for University of North Texas, a Learning Solutions Manager for BloomReach, a Learning Director & Research Scholar for Ronin Institute, and a Learning Director & Business Developer for University of California, Berkeley's Center for Executive Education.

G.Luca Oake has an extensive education history. In 1996, they obtained a BA in Anthropology from Mills College. G.Luca then went on to pursue a MA in Anthropology of Media from the University of London in 2001-2002. In 2004-2006, they obtained an MBA in International Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. In 2014, they attended the Startup Institute for a Summer Intensive in Startup & Entrepreneurial Culture. Lastly, from 2012-2016, they obtained a PhD in Education, Technology & Learning for Adult Professionals from Florida International University. Additionally, they hold two certifications: a Certified Teacher of English as a Foreign Language from the Boston Language Institute and a Public Affairs Specialist: Newspaper Journalist from the Defense Information School.
