Gaurav Singh began their career in 2007 as a Software Engineer I at STMicroelectronics, where they developed Linux kernel drivers for automotive and multimedia platforms and optimized Android boot time. In 2012, they moved to Carnegie Mellon University, where they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and developed a monocular depth perception algorithm for use on a quadrotor platform. In 2014, they joined The Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz Ltd as an Architect - ADAS, leading a team of 12 software developers for Novus Pilot. Gaurav also took on the role of Technical Lead - ADAS & Autonomous Vehicles, working with leading Indian OEMs and partnering with universities to make Indian roads safer. Additionally, they were the Software Lead for India's first driverless shuttle, Novus Drive. In 2019, Gaurav joined Ridecell as a Product, AI, leading the AI team and managing customers and employees.
Gaurav Singh has a diverse educational background. Gaurav completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Computer Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology between 2003 and 2007. Gaurav then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed in 2014. Prior to that, they attended St Columba's School from 1998 to 2003.
