Prem Gururajan has extensive work experience, starting in 2000 with OpenText Corp. where they worked as a Software Engineer for a few months. In 2001, they joined Cypress Semiconductor as a Hardware Design Engineer for a year. In 2004, they founded Tangam Systems and served as the Founder & Chairman. In 2012, they co-founded RideCo and currently holds the position of Co-Founder & CEO. At RideCo, they have developed a software technology platform that enables fleets of shuttles and buses to provide on-demand, shared, and dynamically routed services for clients such as San Antonio Metro, Calgary Transit, Los Angeles Metro, and Grab.

Prem Gururajan obtained their Honours Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Business Entrepreneurship and Technology from the same university, which was completed between 2003 and 2004.
