Emily Richter

Emily Richter has been working in the content and publishing industry since 2002. Emily began their career as an Editor, Associate Editor, and Assistant Editor at Nielson Business Media/VNU Business Publications. During their time there, they managed special projects, electronic newsletters, and custom publishing pieces for multiple trade magazines on business travel from initial conception through to pre-pres. Emily also researched and wrote related articles.

In 2006, Richter became self-employed as a Writer, Editor, and Project Manager. In this role, they were involved in the development and production of both editorial and custom content, working with advertisers and direct-hire clients. This included hiring and managing writers, piloting research and conducting interviews with industry experts, relevant consultants, and members of the target audience, and collaborating with art and production teams to transition a project from words to page (print or web). Emily also specialized in promoting destinations around the world amongst travel professionals (meeting planners and travel agents), advising on best practices in site selection and client advising.

Most recently, in 2021, Richter joined Jetson as their Senior Manager of Technical Content and Copywriter.

Emily Richter attended Tulane University from 1997 to 2001, where they received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Communication. In 2006, they attended The French Culinary Institute and received a Grand Diploma in Pastry Arts.
