Flynn Howling

Flynn Howling has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Their most recent role was as a Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Gopuff, where they were responsible for managing the Dispatch team. In this role, they worked on improving market dynamics, the delivery experience for drivers and customers, and increasing system reliability and speed.

Prior to Gopuff, Flynn worked as an iOS Engineer at Uber for five years. Flynn was a senior engineer on the Mobile Networking team, where they focused on making the Uber apps faster and more reliable through mobile network prioritization, caching, improved serialization formats, and data analysis.

Before their time at Uber, Flynn worked as an iOS Developer at Axiom Zen from 2014 to 2016. Flynn also had previous experience as an iOS Co-op at Kashoo - Simple Cloud Accounting in 2013, where they worked on iOS projects. Additionally, they had personal iOS projects and worked as a Ruby on Rails co-op at Optemo in 2013.

Flynn started their career as an iOS QA Technologist at Kashoo in 2012 and as a QA Co-op at Atimi Software in 2011.

Flynn Howling attended The University of British Columbia from 2009 to 2014, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Engineering.
