Emma Thomas has a diverse work experience in marketing, communications, content management, and journalism. Emma is currently the Head of Marketing & Communications at RideTandem since May 2023. Prior to that, Emma worked at Car & Classic as the Head of Content from May 2022 to April 2023 and as a Content Strategist from December 2021 to May 2022. Emma also served as a Content Manager at Pearson from March 2021 to January 2022 and as a Content Marketing Manager from January 2019 to April 2021. In their earlier career, Emma held positions such as Head of Marketing & Communications at USP College from April 2016 to January 2019, Web Editor & Daily News Editor at Newsquest from January 2014 to April 2016, and Online Journalist for Express Newspapers from June 2014 to March 2015. Emma also gained experience as a Senior Reporter/Night News Editor Sunday Mirror at Trinity Mirror plc from December 2012 to September 2014 and as a Senior Reporter at MailOnline from August 2013 to January 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Crime Reporter at Southend Echo from May 2012 to September 2013, Chief Reporter at Thurrock Gazette (maternity cover) from January 2013 to May 2013, and Senior Reporter at Southend Echo from May 2009 to January 2013.

Emma Thomas pursued their education in journalism, starting with a training program at NoSweat Journalism Training from 2007 to 2008. Emma then enrolled in the NCTJ Level 6 National Qualification in Journalism (NQJ) program from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a degree in Journalism. Emma also obtained additional certifications, including the NCE (National Council for the Training of Journalists) in August 2010. Emma further enhanced their skills by completing the Fundamentals of Digital Marketing certification from Google in December 2019. Most recently, in April 2023, Emma acquired an Advanced Content Strategy certification from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
