David W. Sakal

David most recently served as Vice President Operations at CanEra Inc. (2014-2017), CanEra Energy Corp. (2010-2014), and CanEra Resources Inc. (2008-2010).

Previously, he held the same position with Focus Energy Trust from its inception in 2002 through to its acquisition by Enerplus Resources Fund in February 2008. Prior to Focus, David spent the majority of his career (1985-2000) with Renaissance Energy Ltd. in a variety of operational management positions, the last being Operating District Manager. He also served as District Manager with Husky Energy from 2000-2001. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Alberta.
