April Ponnuru

A veteran policy and communications professional, April has worked in senior levels of government, for both U.S. House and Senate leadership offices. She has advised political campaigns for the U.S. House, Senate, and White House.

A policy director and senior advisor to the Conservative Reform Network, April directed the publication of a new domestic policy book, which The New York Times columnist David Brooks called “the most coherent and compelling policy agenda the American right has produced this century.” Her work promoting cutting-edge ideas and thinkers was also profiled in a cover story for The New York Times Magazine. Included on “The Politico 50,” a list of the top “thinkers, doers, and visionaries transforming American politics,” April was also a contributor to The Washington Examiner. Her writing has appeared in USA Today, National Review, The Weekly Standard, The Federalist, Forbes, and The Hill and other publications.
