Timothy Nies has a diverse work experience in the logistics and shipping industry. Timothy started their career in 2006 as an Air Import Coordinator at Hankyu Hanshin Express, where they supported the sales team and coordinated import shipments. Timothy then joined Geodis Wilson as an Import Coordinator, responsible for coordinating air and ocean shipments and handling customs processes.
In 2011, Nies moved to Green Worldwide Shipping, LLC as an Import Supervisor and later served as a Business Analyst. As an Import Supervisor, they developed pricing strategies, negotiated rates, and supervised the import team. In their role as a Business Analyst, they focused on process improvement, recommending procedures, and implementing automation technologies.
Nies then joined Livingston International as a National Production Supervisor, responsible for overseeing and implementing production processes and managing a team. Following that, they worked at Riege Software in various roles, including Project Manager, Director of US Projects, and Vice President USA. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director North America at Riege Software.
Throughout their career, Nies has demonstrated skills in process improvement, team management, negotiation, and coordination. Timothy has a strong understanding of the logistics industry and has successfully implemented strategies to solve problems and enhance business processes.
Timothy Nies earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Communications from Inholland University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Grafisch Lyceum Eindhoven (GLE) for four years, from 1995 to 1999, and specialized in Graphic Design.
