Liz Purchia is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in environmental policy and public affairs. Currently serving as an Advisor at Gina McCarthy LLC and the Managing Director of Strategic Communications at Sustainable Cities Fund, Purchia is also a Founding Partner at Riff City Strategies since June 2016. Previously, Purchia held the position of Director of Communications at Harvard C-CHANGE, Acting Associate Administrator at the US Environmental Protection Agency, and Account Supervisor at Solomon McCown & Co. A notable role included serving as Iowa Press Secretary for Obama for America and Deputy Press Secretary at USDA. Liz Purchia began the professional journey as an Iowa Field Organizer for Obama for America and an Account Executive at Hill & Knowlton. Liz Purchia earned a BA in World Politics and Studio Art from Hamilton College.
