Sharmon Winters

Sharmon Winters has over 30 years of work experience in the construction industry. Sharmon started their career as a Construction Inspector and Computer Operator at SAI Construction Consulting Engineers in 1989. In this role, they ensured the progress of construction projects and managed the accounting and audit trail for multiple inspectors and items of work. Sharmon then joined The Beech Group, Inc (Breech Construction, Inc.) in 1992, where they served as a Field Inspector and Field Computer Operator before being promoted to Office Manager. In this role, they developed proposals, conducted technical writing, and managed recruiting, staffing, and accounting. Under their leadership, the company grew from two to five inspectors per year to a firm with 30-40 inspectors per year. In 2005, Sharmon founded RIG Consulting, Inc., where they currently serve as the Founder, President, and CEO. RIG Consulting is a certified Woman Owned Business that specializes in transportation construction management and inspection, land surveying, facilities construction management and inspection, and material services and inspection. The company has successfully completed projects for various clients, including the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and The Delaware Rive Joint Toll Bridge Commission. Through their work at RIG Consulting, Sharmon has demonstrated a commitment to professional growth, performance, and providing reliable and quality services to exceed client expectations.

Sharmon Winters has a BS degree in Business Administration and Management Information Systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Sharmon also holds a Certificate of Achievement in Entrepreneurial Fellowship from the University of Pittsburgh's Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence.
