Raul R. Rodriguez

Raul R. Rodriguez is the current President & CEO at Rigel Pharmaceuticals. Raul has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having served in various executive positions at several companies.

Raul began their career as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton in 1987. Raul then spent two years at Searle as the Director of Corporate Business Development from 1989 to 1994. In 1994, they joined Scios as the Executive Director of Business Development and Market Planning, where they worked until 1997.

In 1997, Raul joined Ontogeny as the Chief Operating Officer. Raul held this position until 2000, when they became the Senior Vice President at Rigel Pharmaceuticals Inc. Raul remained in this role for 10 years until they were promoted to President & CEO in 2010. Under Raul's leadership, Rigel Pharmaceuticals has become a leading biotechnology company that is committed to discovering, developing and commercializing small molecule drugs for the treatment of inflammatory and immune disorders.

Raul R. Rodriguez has a MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, an MPH from the University of Illinois Chicago, and an AB from Harvard University.
