Mabala Letseka has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting from 2009, they worked as an IT Technician at BSCS until 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Network and Infrastructure Trainee at Techware (PTY) Ltd. From 2015 to 2015, they served as a Teaching Assistant at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Mabala then worked as an Instrumentation Engineer at Rhine Ruhr Process Equipment from 2016 to 2017 and as an Electrical/Systems Engineer at Shared Water Systems from 2017 to 2021. At Partners in Health, they held the role of Biomedical Engineer from September 2021 to April 2022, where they focused on maintenance planning and training for oxygen concentrators, plants, and pipeline systems. Currently, Mabala is working as a Biomedical Engineer at Right to Care, where they are responsible for stakeholder engagement and management, providing technical assistance and training, and supporting Covid response teams.
Mabala Letseka completed a Master's Degree in Satellite Systems Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in the years 2017-2018. Prior to that, Mabala obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Systems Engineering from the same institution from 2015 to 2016. Before attending Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Mabala studied Computer Systems Engineering at Lerotholi Polytechnic from 2011 to 2014. Mabala also holds an ASSE 6040 medical gas systems maintenance certification from BeaconMedaes USA, received COVID-19 Training for Healthcare Workers from Stanford University, and obtained a BSC general degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Lesotho.
