Tara Gilroy

Tara (Vanderwel) Gilroy is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in training and capacity building within global contexts. Currently serving as the Global ECE Training Specialist at Right To Play since July 2012, Tara has held various roles including Manager, Training and Capacity Building and Training and Capacity Building Officer. Previous experience includes coordinating EDUCAIDS for Portuguese-speaking African countries at UNESCO and working as an Education Advisor for SNV. Additionally, Tara has contributed as a Teacher Trainer for VSO and JUMP Math and taught as an Elementary School Teacher with the Toronto District School Board. Academic qualifications include a Continuing and Professional Learning Certificate in Adult Learning and Development from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from Mount Saint Vincent University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development from Dalhousie University.
