Melissa Hunfalvay has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Melissa co-founded and served as the Chief Science Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Product Officer, Chief Data Scientist, and board member of RightEye, a successful growth-stage company. Melissa also served on the Board of Directors. Prior to that, they worked at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) as the Chief Innovation Officer, where they created and designed the Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality program. Melissa implemented various VR technologies for therapy and training purposes. Before NICoE, they worked as a Senior Performance Specialist at the Army Center of Enhanced Performance, using technological tools to understand war fighters' mental and physical readiness. Melissa also worked as the Chief Product Officer at Eye Response Technologies, where they developed video-based augmented simulations and launched an eye tracking product called FocusCoach. Eye Response Technologies was later acquired by Tobii DynaVox.

Melissa Hunfalvay's education history includes multiple degrees and certifications. Melissa obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Statistics from Western Sydney University in 1994. Melissa then pursued a Master's degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Campbell University from 1996 to 1998. In 2000, Melissa enrolled at the University of Virginia and completed a Doctorate degree in Kinesiology, specializing in statistics and eye tracking technology.

In 2019, Melissa pursued further education in the field of Data Science and obtained a Master's degree from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 2019 to 2022.

Melissa has recently embarked on pursuing a degree in Business, with a focus on Finance & Accounting, at Harvard University starting in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Melissa has obtained several certifications. These include certifications related to FDA regulations and documentation from Greenlight Guru, which they acquired in 2022. Melissa also completed a course on version control with Git on Coursera in 2022. Melissa has obtained certifications from various organizations such as the United States Olympic Committee and the United States Professional Tennis Association. Melissa also holds certifications in applied sport psychology from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. In 2021, they completed certifications in Human Research and Responsible Conduct of Research through the CITI Program. Moreover, they attained a certification in Big Data from Cognitive Class in 2022.
